You may be entitled to a tax refund for 2024 for one of the following reasons:
Charitable donations
You may be eligible for up to 35% of the amount donated to any organization with tax deductible status (chapter 46), up to the amount of income taxes paid.|
If you are a Route 38 team member, we can assist you in claiming this refund in one of the following ways:
A. Submit all receipts to our office no later than December 10 , in addition to the attached Declaration that no services were received in exchange for the donation. We will complete all paperwork on your behalf and apply the credit to your December tlush.
IMPORTANT NOTE: for donations totaling over 25,000 ILS total, the deadline is December 3.
This service costs 350 ILS.
B. You can file independently online via the Income tax authority website by registering at Mas Hachnasa.
If for some reason you cannot register, the alternative is to schedule an appointment at your local Mas Hachnasa office. Bring all qualifying receipts, a recent Tlush and your Teudat Zehut. The Mas Hachnasa office will issue an Ishur stating the amount of your refund. Submit this Ishur to our office by December 31 and we will apply the credit to your December pay stub.
This service is free of charge.
It is best to apply as early as possible. Towards year’s end the tax authorities get very backlogged.
All charity receipts must be the following:
- Original copies (or digital)
- Dated 2024
- Have Israeli tax deductible status (chapter 46)
- Be written out in the name of the taxpayer
Note that one can file a tax return for up to 7 years at the Mas Hachnasa office to claim this refund retroactively.
Partial employment
If you began working with Route 38 mid year and had some months in 2024 that you were not employed or lived abroad and did not receive unemployment payments, you may be eligible for a tax refund.
Special education child or disability in the family
This may qualify you for tax credits which can be applied retroactively for the entire year.
Please reach out to your account manager for further clarification and assistance.
